Amos Hawley Vaughan was born on 13 March 1809 at (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.¹ He was the son of Josephus Vaughan and Elizabeth Hawley. Amos Hawley Vaughan was baptized on 21 September 1809 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ He married Nancy Smith on 18 February 1841 at St Armand Methodist Church, St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² Amos Hawley Vaughan died on 17 March 1897 at Selkirk, Manitoba, at age 88.
