     Ralph Emory Tryon was born on 5 October 1871 at Camanchula, Iowa.1 He was the son of Albert Leslie Tryon and Huldah Ann Slaughter. Ralph Emory Tryon married Ida Mae Dunlap on 19 October 1892.1 Ralph Emory Tryon died on 26 September 1928 at age 56.1
     He appeared on the census of 20 April 1910 at Wesley, Kossuth Co, Iowa; Ralph Tryon, aged 38 (Indexing for HeritageQuest indicates born Ireland, but census says born Iowa), his wife Ida, 39, had been married 17 years. Ida had three children with two still living. Sons, Harold, 13, Frank, 10 were listed, as well as Albert Tryon, "father", aged 84 years, born Fr-Canada.2
