Joseph Hurlbut was born circa 1646 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut.1 He was the son of Thomas Hurlbut and Sarah (?). Joseph Hurlbut married Rebecca Brown on 15 December 1670 at Connecticut. Joseph Hurlbut died on 13 July 1732 at Woodbury, Litchfield Co, Connecticut.2
Joseph Hurlbut and his family removed to Woodbury, Connecticut from Wethersfield, by 1682, perhaps earlier. His children's baptisms took place at Woodbury, but at an adult age, assuming they were born elsewhere.1
