George Washington Gibbs was born on 27 February 1840 at Ellenburg, Clinton Co, New York. He was the son of Samuel Gibbs and Amy Babcock. George Washington Gibbs married Deborah Ann Babcock on 15 October 1867. George Washington Gibbs married Carrie P. Honsinger on 17 April 1875 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.1 George Washington Gibbs died on 1 February 1912 at New York at age 71.
