Sarah Anne Derick was born circa 1851 at Quebec.1 She was the daughter of William Derick and Clarinda Scott. Sarah Anne Derick married Maynard S. Smith on 28 April 1871 at Holyoke, Hampden Co, Massachusetts.2 Sarah Anne Derick died after 1 June 1880; Sarah either died after the census was taken in 1880, or left her husband (or vice versa). Maynard married again in 1881 in Philadelphia.
