     Ransom M. Derick was born circa 1857 at Quebec.2 He was the son of William Derick and Clarinda Scott. Ransom M. Derick married Bertha R. Dutz on 9 December 1890 at Holyoke, Hampden Co, Massachusetts.3,1 Ransom M. Derick died on 8 April 1930 at York Co, Maine; He had entered the United States in 1865.4
     He appeared on the census of 1900 at Attleboro, Bristol Co, Massachusetts; Ransom M. Derick, 41, and wife Bertha, 30. Immigration year was given as 1863.5 He appeared on the census of 1920 at Main Street, Eliot, York Co, Maine; Ransom M. Derick, 62, Bertha R., 51 were hosting several boarders.1
