     Peter Daniel Longeway was born on 2 March 1847 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Peter Daniel Longeway and Mary Elizabeth Garland. Peter Daniel Longeway was baptized on 11 August 1853 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Isabella Stoddart on 6 September 1893 at Chambly, Chambly Co, Quebec; Peter was of Magog, and Isabella was of Chambly.2 Peter Daniel Longeway died on 26 June 1907 at Magog, Stanstead Co, Quebec, at age 60.3 He was buried on 29 June 1907 at Fitch Bay Cemetery, Fitch Bay, Stanstead Co, Quebec.3
     He appeared on the census of 1880 at Peru, Bennington Co, Vermont, in the household of Samuel Sheller. He worked on the coal yard.4 As of 1880, Peter Daniel Longeway was also known as Daniel Longeway He appeared as Daniel Longeway, aged 33, in the 1880 census.
