     George Bissell was born on 3 May 1828 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Randall Mumford Bissell and Elizabeth Derick. George Bissell married Charlotte Louisa Salls, daughter of Hix Salls and Hannah Moore, on 24 September 1851 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Clarenceville Methodist Church. George Bissell died on 2 February 1902 at age 73. He was buried at Marlington Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.1
