Hoyt died on 27 February 1923 at Blaine, Whatcom Co, Washington, at age 65.¹ He was buried at Enterprise Cemetery, Custer, Washington.¹
Jack Hoyt and Nellie Catherine Hoyt were first cousins as their fathers were brothers.¹
