     Nettie May Hoyt was born on 12 October 1891 at Eau Galle, Eau Claire Co, Wisconsin.1 She was the daughter of Jack E. Hoyt and Nellie Catherine Hoyt. Nettie May Hoyt married William Thomas Evans on 5 February 1908 at Blaine, Whatcom Co, Washington.1,2 Nettie May Hoyt died on 6 March 1978 at Brewster, Okanogan Co, Washington, at age 86.1,2 She was buried on 9 March 1978 at Omak Memorial Cemetery, Omak, Okanogan Co, Washington.1
     In 1917 they came to a ranch on the reservation where they homesteaded. Nettie served for over 25 years as postmistress of the Timentwa post office.1
