     Shirley Bernice Hoyt was born on 3 August 1895 at Glenwood, Wisconsin.1 She was the daughter of Jack E. Hoyt and Nellie Catherine Hoyt. Shirley Bernice Hoyt married David Rogers.1 Shirley Bernice Hoyt died on 25 November 1919 at Whatcom Co, Washington, at age 24.1
     Shirley was attacked by a vagrant in her own home, and being so frightened by the ordeal, went into premature labor. She died, delivering a set of twins who also died at birth.1
