Joseph Drew Hutchinson

     Joseph Drew Hutchinson was born on 24 April 1853 at Scituate, Plymouth Co, Massachusetts; His parents were listed as Jesse D. Hutchinson, b. Hartford, CT and Sarah, b. Scituate, MA. His death certificate lists his mother as Marcy Keen, but that was his grandmother.^2,3,4 He was the son of Jesse D. Hutchinson and Sarah L. Vinal.¹ Joseph Drew Hutchinson married Margaret Foyer Dean, daughter of James Dean and Sarah Munday, on 25 March 1880 at Cohasset, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts; The marriage record shows that it was first marriage for Joseph, s/o Jesse D. Hutchinson and Sarah Vinal, and 2nd marriage for Margaret Johnson, d/o James Dean and Sarah. He was a resident of Scituate, and she was living in Cohasset. They were married by Rev. Granville Yager.⁵ Joseph Drew Hutchinson died on 10 January 1919 at Cohasset, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts, at age 65; Joseph Hutchinson died from cancer of the stomach at age 65. He had been a carpenter.¹ He was buried at Scituate Center, Scituate, Plymouth Co, Massachusetts.¹
     He appeared on the census of 8 June 1880 at Cohasset, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts; Joseph D. Hutchinson, 28, blacksmith, and wife Margaret F., also 28.⁶ A Cohasset Town Directory for 1894 lists Joseph D. Hutchinson as a carpenter kiving on Border Street in the summer.⁷ He appeared on the census of 7 June 1900 at Cohasset, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts; Joseph Hutchinson, 47, Margaret, 48, had been married 20 years with no children.²
