The 1860 census showed him named William, but there was a son named Wallace in the 1880 census for Lowell. Since James had another son William, the writer presumes that the 1860 census was in error.7 He lived in 1889 at 77 Liberty, Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Wallace appears to have been boarding with his father at this time, Since he had married several years earlier, it is likely they were both living there.8 He lived in 1890 at 121 Smith, Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Wallace and his wife must have moved to their own home between 1889 and 1890, just before starting their own family, as he is now a homeowner.9 He appeared on the census of 26 April 1910 at Dutton Street, Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Wallace Tryon, 60, Clara, 49, married 26 years; Royal, 19, Robert, 17 and Ruth A, 15. Wallace was a carpenter in a machine shop.10
