     Mary A. Tryon was born in January 1853 at New York.2 She was the daughter of James William Tryon and Eliza Deveno. Mary A. Tryon married James F. Gordon, son of Joseph Gordon and Martha S. (?), on 15 March 1879 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; James was aged 22 and Eliza was 23, married by Rev. George S. Richer.2,1 Mary A. Tryon died on 23 August 1933 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 80.
     She appeared on the census of 1930 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; James F, Gordon, 75, b. ME and wife Mary A., 76.3
