Susanne Covey

     Susanne Covey was born in June 1867 at Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke Co, Quebec; Baptismal states aged 2 years, 3 months.¹ She was the daughter of Gilbert Henry Covey and Mary Amanda Smith. Susanne Covey was baptized on 10 September 1869 at Cathedrale de St Michel de Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke Co, Quebec.¹ She married Eugene Dennis Rivers. Susanne Covey died on 31 August 1947 at Brighton, Essex Co, Vermont, at age 80; The death record indicates she was born 2 Jun 1868, having died at age 79-2-29. But her earlier baptism says she was aged 2 years and 3 months in 1869. Therefore it is more likely correct that she was born 2 Jun 1867, and the informant at death was just off a year.
The record also states she had been in that community 56 years, and had been in the US for 63 years.^2,3
