Nelson Gray was born on 13 September 1829.1 He was the son of Thomas Wheeler Gray and Laura Patterson. Nelson Gray was baptized on 1 March 1846 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; The record reads that Nelson was son of Wheeler Gray, formerly of Noyan, and Laura Patterson.2
