Alfred Skeels

M, b. 6 October 1824, d. March 1879
     Alfred Skeels was born on 6 October 1824 at Vermont.1,2 He married Nancy Salls, daughter of William Salls and Catherine Billings, on 24 May 1848 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Alfred Sheels was a bachelor of Highgate, VT and Nancy Salls was a spinster of Noyan, both of age.3 Alfred Skeels died in March 1879 at Stanbridge, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 54.1 He was buried on 25 March 1879 at Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1
     He appeared on the census of 12 July 1860 at Swanton, Franklin Co, Vermont; Alfred Skeels, 35, gentleman, Nancy, 32, Florence, 9, Martha, 6, Hattie M., 3, and Catherine, two months.2 He appeared on the census of 1871 at Stanbridge, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Alfred Skeels, 46, Nancy, 43, Florence, 19, Martha, 17, and Hattie, 14.4
