     Daniel Colton was born on 12 October 1802. He was the son of John Colton and Jane Hoose. Daniel Colton married Hannah Curtis, daughter of Amasa Curtis and Hannah (?), on 29 October 1826 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.1
