Hiram Edmond Covey was born on 19 September 1855 at Quebec; WA Death Certificate, King Co, Rec #3929, Reg #4036. He was the son of Gilbert Yearns Covey and Julia A. Currier. Hiram Edmond Covey was baptized on 27 June 1856 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Sacred Heart Church. He died on 13 December 1932 at Seattle, King Co, Washington, at age 77; WA Death Certificate, King Co, Rec #3929, Reg #4036. He was buried on 15 December 1932.
The 1870 census in Stanstead showed him to be Ira H. Covey. Evidentally, the family did not refer to him as Hiram Edmond.
Ira had been a poultryman, according to his death certificate. He died at Harborview Hospital, and his cremation was handled by E.R. Butterworth & Sons, 300 East Pine Street, Seattle. He supposedly left his estate to his sister, Louise, the wife of Rudolpho M. Handy, of Charleton, MA (1932).
