Peter Facteau

Peter Facteau was born in June 1840 at New York.1 He married Barbara Grimshaw, daughter of Zephaniah Grimshaw and Adeline Covey, circa 1878; The 1900 census indicates they had been married 22 years, had 11 children, 7 still living.1
Peter Facto served in the 153rd NY Infantry, Company K, which was out of Mooers, NY during the Civil War. He enlisted in August 1862.2 Peter Facteau appeared on the census of 18 April 1910 at Mooers, Clinton Co, New York; Peter Facto, 70, Nellie E., 50, although it shows they had been married 36 years and had 13 children, 8 living; Roy, 12, Herman, 10 and Albert, 8. It is indicate dthat it was Peter's 2nd marriage, and Nellie's first.3
