William Salls

     William Salls was born circa 1781 at Canaan, Columbia Co, New York. He was the son of Abraham Salls and Thankful (?). William Salls was baptized on 3 September 1781 at Canaan, Columbia Co, New York.¹ He married Catherine Billings, daughter of Chileab Billings and Martha Alvord, on 7 April 1807 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.² William Salls died on 8 August 1860 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³ He was buried on 9 August 1860.⁴
     The Last Will and Testament of William Salls was made 16 April 1859 before Thomas Brassard, notary. He gave all his property and personal belongings to Daniel Salls, his son by Catherine Billings. He writes that he did not intend to give anything further to his other children, Elizabeth, Nancy, Charles and Elisha, as they had already received their fair share.
