Gamaliel Little

M, b. 13 August 1766
Gamaliel Little was born on 13 August 1766 at Lebanon, New London Co, Connecticut.1 He was baptized on 14 March 1829 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Eunice Rood.2 Gamaliel Little married Phoebe Salls, daughter of Jacob Salls and Margaret Taylor, after 1813.2
Gamaliel Little appeared on the census of 1790 at Lebanon, New London Co, Connecticut; There were three Gamaliel Littles in Lebanon at that time, but since Gamaliel's baptism in 1829 states he was the son of Gamaliel and Mary of Lebanon, that Gamaliel Jr was the one who married Phoebe Salls. At that time he was head of household, with two males over 16, 2 under 16 and one female. He had to have been previously married before 1790. This writer would have to investigate further in Lebanon to be sure if this correct. He would still be too young to have a son over 16 in 1790.3 Gamaliel Little and his first wife Eunice Rood were living in LaPrairie about 1803-1806 when several of theirs were stillborn. The 1825 census shows Gamaliel Little with a family of seven living in St Armand.
