Jane Salls was born on 1 May 1791 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec. She was the daughter of Hix Salls and Mary Briggs. Jane Salls married John Shufelt, son of William Shufelt and Catherine Church, circa 1815. Jane Salls died on 2 August 1876 at Iron Hill, Brome Co, Quebec, at age 85. She was buried at Iron Hill, Brome Co, Quebec.
