Benjamin Ernest Salls was born on 13 January 1796 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Hix Salls and Mary Briggs. Benjamin Ernest Salls married Lucy C. Curtis, daughter of Darius Curtis and Hannah Filer, on 11 January 1818 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ Benjamin Ernest Salls married Margaret Manson, daughter of William Manson and Ruth Andrews, on 29 March 1841 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; St Armand West (Phillipsburg) Church. Benjamin Ernest Salls died on 27 July 1865 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 69.² He was buried on 30 July 1865.
