Abraham Salls was born circa 1801 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Hix Salls and Mary Briggs. Abraham Salls married Sophia Bissell, daughter of Randall Mumford Bissell and Elizabeth Derick, on 13 August 1821 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ Abraham Salls married Almira Beebe on 13 December 1869 at Fitch Bay, Stanstead Co, Quebec.² Abraham Salls died on 26 March 1876 at Fitch Bay Adventist Church, Fitch Bay, Stanstead Co, Quebec.³ He was buried on 28 March 1876 at Marlington Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.^4,5

Abraham Salls signed documents as "Abram, the 2nd". A document passed before Leon Lalanne, notary, dated 18 Dec 1822 mentions Hix Salls was donating land in Noyan, - Lot 14 in the 4th Range - to his son, "Abraham Salls, the 2nd". Hix Salls was, however, reserving land for himself and his wife, Mary Briggs.
