Daniel Covey was the son of Daniel Covey and Phanella Burgett. Daniel Covey married Mary Baker at Broome Co, New York; info from Joseph Covey, e-mail dated 11 Jul 1999. Daniel Covey died before 1848.
Both Daniel and Mary (Baker) Covey died between 1844 and 1848. Daniel's father and mother, Daniel & Fanny Covey, traveled to Iowa to either settle or claim their son's estate. The minor children were both taken back to New York by their maternal uncle, Guy Baker, and were again found in census records in Broome County, NY for 1860.
