Calvin Filer was born on 12 December 1803 at Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Ephraim Filer and Elizabeth Tryon. Calvin Filer was baptized on 8 March 1814 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Margaret Bearman on 19 June 1833 at Johnstown District, Grenville, Ontario.2,3
