     Truman L. Tryon was born on 17 June 1884.1 He was the son of Alice Lydia Tryon. Truman L. Tryon married Cora Floyd circa 1903. Truman L. Tryon died on 3 July 1950 at Westport, Essex Co, New York, at age 66; Truman died as a result of a fall from a load of hay being backed into a barn. He suffered a broken neck. He was 64 years old, survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wilfred Montville and Mrs. Guy Crowningshield.2 He was buried at Hillside Cemetery, Westport, Essex Co, New York.
     He appeared on the census of 2 May 1910 at Buck Road, Westport, Essex Co, New York; Truman L., 24, Cora A., 28, Myrtle V., 4, Kenneth L, 1.3 On 12 September 1918, Truman Tryon registered for the War, naming his mother, Alice Tryon of Westport as his nearest relative. He was tall, slender build, with blue eyes and brown hair.4 He appeared on the census of 22 April 1930 at Westport, Essex Co, New York; Trueman L. Tryon, 46, married at age 20, daughter Myrtle Crowningshield, 24, married at 21, son Kenneth L. Tryon, 21 and Guy Crowningshield, son-in-law, 28, married at 25.5
