George Melvin Salls

     George Melvin Salls was born on 12 June 1876 at Potton, Brome Co, Quebec.¹ He was the son of Melvin Willard Salls and Elizabeth Kate Allen. George Melvin Salls married Sarah M. Cole on 31 October 1906 at West Paris, Oxford Co, Maine; George was 30 yrs old, and Sarah was 21, both residents of Greenwood. Gave his birthplace as Troy, VT, and hers was Greenwood, Maine. They were married by O.R. Yates, Justice of the Peace of Paris.² George Melvin Salls died on 18 June 1943 at Dorchester, Grafton Co, New Hampshire, at age 67.³
     On 12 September 1918, George was a resident of Locke Mills in Oxford County, Maine. He worked for E.C. Tibbets Spool Co in Locke Mills. His nearest relative was his wife Sarah M. Salls.¹
