Sarah Anne Scott was born on 29 September 1859 at Elizabethtown, Leeds Co, Ontario.1 She was the daughter of Daniel Scott and Mary Stinson.2 Sarah Anne Scott married James Yearns Covey, son of James Yearns Covey and Isabella Radcliffe, on 1 January 1884 at Kitley Township, Ontario; James Yearns Covey, bachelor of the township of Elizabethtown and Sarah Ann Scott spinster of the same were united in marriage Jan 3, 1884. -
Kitley Angican Diocese, p. 82, 1884; Volume 11-K-1.1 Sarah Anne Scott died on 13 September 1899 at Athens, Leeds Co, Ontario, at age 39; Athens Reporter, 20 Sept 1899: "Mrs. James Covey died at her home near Elbe last week, after suffering for several months with a cancer, leaving her husband and five young children to mourn her loss. Mr. Covey was in Manitoba at the time of her death. The funeral took place on Friday last, Re. E.W. Crane conducting the ceremony."1 She was buried at New Dublin Community Cemetery, Elizabethtown, Leeds Co, Ontario.
