     Louis Loisel was born circa 1621 at France. He was the son of Louis Loisel and Jeanne Leterrier. Louis Loisel married Marguerite Charlot, daughter of Francois Charlot and Barbe Girardeau, on 13 January 1648 at Montreal, Montreal Co, Quebec; Louis Loysel was originally of the parish of St-Germain pres de Caen, Normandie, and Marguerite Charlot was originally of the parish of St-Jean-en-Greve, Paris. Their parents were not listed as present.1,2 Louis Loisel died on 4 September 1691 at Montreal, Montreal Co, Quebec; Louis Loisel was aged 70 years and had been a "serrurier", or locksmith.1 He was buried on 4 September 1691 at Notre Dame, Montreal, Montreal Co, Quebec.2,1
     He appeared on the census of 1667 at Montreal, Montreal Co, Quebec; Louis Loisel, habitant, 48, Marguerite Charlot, 35, along with children: Francoise, 15, Joseph, 13, and Barbe, 4.2 He appeared on the census of 1681 at Montreal, Montreal Co, Quebec; Louis Loisel, aged 64, locksmith, Marguerite Charlotte, 57, and Joseph Loisel, 26.2
