     Charles Chevay dit Vendômois was born circa 1659.1 He was the son of Antoine Chevaye and Anne Hebert. Charles Chevay dit Vendômois married Françoise Loisel, daughter of Louis Loisel and Marguerite Charlot, on 16 August 1689 at Boucherville, Quebec; Charles Chevaye, 30, was a soldier in the company of M. Demuy, originally of the parish of Ste-Marie-Madeleine, Vendome, Eveche de Chartres. Francoise Loisel, widow of Francois Pilet, was 40 years old of Boucherville.2,1
