     Walter A. Scott was born on 26 October 1886 at New York.1 He was the son of Asahel H. Scott and Emily Sarah Collins. Walter A. Scott married Hattie Minnie Ristau on 4 March 1914. Walter A. Scott died on 20 November 1934 at North Burke, Franklin Co, New York, at age 48; Walter had been in poor health for som time. His entire life had been spent in Burke, where he was a farmer. Upon his death, he left his wife Hattie and all twelve of his children: Mrs. Evangeline Moore, Chateaugay; Evelyn, Cyril, Bruce, George, Harold, Neal, Kenneth, Marion, Eunice, Leonard, and John, all of Burke; He also left two sisters: Mildred Scott of Huntingdon and Mrs. Winfred Helm, Chateaugay, and two brothers, Albert Scott, Boston Mass., and Henry Scott, Albany, NY.2 He was buried on 22 November 1934 at Burke Center Cemetery (Eastside), Burke, Franklin Co, New York.2
     He and Hattie Minnie Ristau appeared on the census of 19 April 1930 at Hunter Road, Burke, Franklin Co, New York; Walter A. Scott, 43, Hattie M., 36, Evelyn L, 15, Cyril W., 14, Bruce W., 13, George A., 12, Harold C., 10, Neal R., 7, Kenneth R., 5, Marion J, 4yrs 9 mos, Eunice, 3 yrs 8 mos, and Leonard, 8 mos.3
