Royal George Tryon

     Royal George Tryon was born on 22 February 1891 at Lowell?, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.^1,2 He was the son of Wallace Tryon and Clara Miller.¹ Royal George Tryon filed a marriage intention to Mary Gertrude Miller on 21 April 1917 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Royal was aged 26 and Mary was aged 20.^3,2 Royal George Tryon died on 10 May 1971 at Tewksbury, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 80; Edson Cemetery's record lists his death as 8 May 1971.^4,5,6 He was buried on 12 May 1971 at Edson Cemetery, Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.⁶
     On 5 June 1917, Royal registered for World War I from Lowell, Massachusetts. He was tall, of medium build, blue eyes, and his eyes were "defective". He was a machinst with the Saco-Lowell Shop in Lowell. At that time, he was residing 195 Hale Street and was married.² He appeared on the census of January 1920 at 14 Cambridge Street, Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Royal Tryon, 28, Mary, 22, Arlene, 2 and Alfred 7/12.³ He appeared on the census of 17 April 1930 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Royal Tryon was 38 and widowed, rooming with others on Flecher Street.⁷
