Perez Anderson was born circa 1856 at St Martins, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.2,3,4 He was the son of William J. Anderson and Olivia (?).1 Perez Anderson married Mary Jane Ramsay, daughter of David Ramsay, on 23 December 1878 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; They were married at the Baptist Parsonage by Rev. J.T. Parsons. Both parties were of Portland.5,6 Perez Anderson married Mary Jane Cunningham on 8 June 1886 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.7,8 Perez Anderson married Olivia Williams Wood, daughter of Joseph Williams Wood and Elizabeth Brown Howard, on 25 December 1905 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Perez Anderson was aged 48, a widower and teamster, b. St Martins, and Olivia was 46, born Gardners Creek, parish of Simonds. Perez was of the Brethren faith as Olivia was.
Witnesses: Hannah Wood was of Pittsburg, PA and his son William was of Saint John.9,1 Perez Anderson died on 6 July 1910 at General Hospital, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; "In this city on July 6, Perez Anderson, aged 54, leaving a wife, one son and a daughter to mourn. Funeral from his late residence, 114 Winter Street, Friday, 8th instant. Service commencing at 2:30 o'clock."
His death record indicates he died of peritonitis. The funeral home record is under Percey L. Anderson and indicates he was a packer at a paper company. He was 5'11" tall.10,11,4,12 He was buried on 8 July 1910 at Church of England Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.13,14
He appeared on the census of 1881 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Pierce Anderson, 24, ship carpenter, Mary J., 24, and daughter, Ella M., 1. The family was Baptist.2 In 1883 Perez Anderson was listed in the Saint John City Directory as a ship carpenter of Portland. In 1905 he resided at 114 Winter Street, Saint John and had been a teamster with Schofield Bros. As of 25 December 1905, Perez Anderson was also known as Percy James Anderson.
