John Jackson

     John Jackson was born circa 1830 at England. He married Mary (?) before 1871. John Jackson married Olivia Wood, daughter of William D. Wood and Olivia Hovey Williams, on 25 May 1880 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Saint John Marriage Register, Book J 1880-1887; p. 13, #108. They were married by Rev. Parsons. John Jackson died on 16 December 1912 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. He was buried in 1912 at Church of England Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.
     He appeared on the census of 1871 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 He appeared on the census of 1881 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; John Jackson, 51, wife Olivia, 51 along with Kate E. Jackson, 10 and Daniel T. Jackson, 7. John was listed as a Methodist, as were the children, and a gardener by occupation. Olivia was listed as a Baptist.2 He and Olivia Wood appeared on the census of 1891 at Wellington Ward, Saint John, Saint John County, New Brunswick; John Jackson, 55, Olivia, 60, Kate, 20 and Daniel, 17. John was a Methodist, while the rest of the family was Baptist. John was born England, Olivia and children in New Brunswick.3 John Jackson lived in 1896 at 112 City Road, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Saint John Co Burial Permits [Olivia Wood Jackson], Vol 7, #418 (PANB film #F20743).
