Henry
Daley was born at
New Brunswick. He was the son of
Joseph Daley and
Abigail Hammond. Henry Daley married
Sarah Cronk, daughter of
Frederick Cronk and
Margaret Stork, on 24 August 1832 at
St Andrew's Church, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Henry "Daly" and Sarah Cronk were both of Portland upon marriage, David "Daley" being witness to the ceremony. Henry Daley died between 1849 and 1851 at
Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Henry was not present in the 1851 census, and widow Sarah, sons David and William and mother Abigail were living with Solomon Stanley.
1 In land records, #19618 registered on 31 May 1851, there was a transaction whereas Henry Daily of the parish of Simonds, did sell and transfer land "sold by my father Joseph Daily to James Smith, shipbuilder, deeded to me by said James Smith for the benefit of my self to assist in supporting my father and mother Joseph Daily and Abigail Daily". The original document was dated 5 April 1848, and not registered until 1851, which is likely to have been the approximate time that Henry Daley died.
