Lucy Howard

     Lucy Howard was born on 6 October 1785 at St Martins, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.¹ She was the daughter of John Howard and Patience Howard. Lucy Howard married John Brown Jr, son of John Brown and Sarah Bailey, before 19 March 1808 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Land records show that on 19 Mar 1808, John Howard and Patience, of Saint Martins gave for five shillings 150 acres in that area to their daughter "Lucy Brown, wife of John Brown Jr." This land was part of Lot 22 [St John Registry Office, L-1, 269].² Lucy Howard died on 15 December 1843 at St Martins, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 58; Mrs. Lucy Brown, widow of the late John, 59th year of her age following a long and severe illness.^1,3
