John Brown Jr

     John Brown Jr was born on 15 September 1780 at Newport, Hants Co, Nova Scotia; Newport V.R. He was the son of John Brown and Sarah Bailey. John Brown Jr married Lucy Howard, daughter of John Howard and Patience Howard, before 19 March 1808 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Land records show that on 19 Mar 1808, John Howard and Patience, of Saint Martins gave for five shillings 150 acres in that area to their daughter "Lucy Brown, wife of John Brown Jr." This land was part of Lot 22 [St John Registry Office, L-1, 269].¹ John Brown Jr died circa 1827 at St Martins, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Probate Records, #F10925, PANB. His estate was probated on 13 August 1827.
