George Thompson

George Thompson was born circa 1793. He married Frances Susannah Howard, daughter of Edward Howard and Frances Smith, on 25 February 1818 at Shediac, Westmoreland Co, New Brunswick; Acadian Recorder, 14 May 1818. George Thompson died on 3 April 1855 at Butouche, Kent Co, New Brunswick; Morning News, 16 Apr 1855. He was buried on 5 April 1855 at Cocaigne, Kent Co, New Brunswick; St. Albans Anglican.
According to a land deed [#6364, 1822] within Saint John County, George Thomson(sic) was of Cocaigne, parish pf Wellington, Nothumberland County. He and wife Frances were selling a parcel of land in St. Martins originally granted to Edward Howard to John Brown, Jr. By 1828, George and Frances were living in Dundas, Kent County, when they sold another parcel, originally granted to Edward Howard to Edward Brown of St. Martins [#8647, 1828].
