     Job Stanley was born circa 1803 at Portsmouth, Rockingham Co, New Hampshire.1 He was the son of Job Stanley and Isabella Dyer. Job Stanley married Margaret Cronk on 8 April 1829 at St Andrews Methodist Church, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. Job Stanley married Esther Ann McKee, daughter of James McKee and Diana Thomas, on 21 October 1854 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; WC, 10 Nov 1854. Job Stanley died on 28 May 1895 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Job was 94 years old, and had belonged to the Church of England. It was noted he was born in the US.2
     On 24 Nov 1844, Job Stanley and his wife Margaret, both of the Parish of Smonds, sold land to Robert McKenzie of the same place, for £50. The parcel was situated along the Mill Road, and was part of the original grant to Solomon Stanley. Agreement was made to alllow a right of access for foot passengers, and access to the Bay of Fundy, allowing small boats to land with provisions and the conveying of manure used for cultivation.3 He appeared on the census of 1851 at Simonds Parish, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Job Stanley, 49, widower, b. US, farmer, entered the colony in 1803. Sons Joseph were natives, aged 20; Frederick, 19; Also living with them was Joseph Stanley, 47, shown as a native, wife Elizabeth, 46, and Solomon, 20.4 On the 1st of April, 1873, Job Stanley was listed as of Mispec, and the sole registered owner of the 27-ton schooner, "Eliza Jane", built 1866.5 He appeared on the census of 1891 at Simonds Parish, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Job Stanley was aged 90.6 Estate papers for Job Stanley show that Joseph Stanley was living in Bar Harbor, Maine. His brother, Job, was said to be living in Salem, Massachusetts, but the 1900 census does not list him there. Frederick Stanley was deceased, but left four children named in the Administration of the Will: William at Bar Harbour; Phoebe, the wife of Andrew Brown in Saint John; Alice, wife of Samuel Cunningham, parish of Simonds, Saint John County; and Mary, wife of Frederick Fletcher of Nashua, New Hampshire.
