     Martha Stanley was born circa 1835 at Red Head, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1,2 She was the daughter of Solomon Dyer Stanley and Martha Bennett Daley. Martha Stanley married William Bryans on 28 September 1854 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. Martha Stanley died on 9 June 1888 at Mispec, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.2
     She and William Bryans appeared on the census of 1881 at Simonds, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; William Bryans, 61, b. Ireland, Martha, 46, b. NB, and Frank Dogherty, 65, b. Ireland.1
