Matilda Prudence Scott

     Matilda Prudence Scott was born on 13 August 1830 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She was the daughter of William Scott and Prudence Covey. Matilda Prudence Scott married Allen William Bullis on 1 February 1849 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.² Matilda Prudence Scott married Judson Daniel Blanchard, son of Daniel Blanchard, before 10 March 1888; Her daughter Annie's marriage in 1888 to Joseph P. Clark listed her mother as Matilda Blanchard, soMatilda had married Judson Blanchard before that time.^3,4 Matilda Prudence Scott died on 24 July 1924 at West Burke, Caledonia Co, Vermont, at age 93; The death record read that Matilda was aged 100 years, 11 mos and 9 days, which doesn't match her birth date.¹ She was buried on 26 July 1924 at Mansonville Cemetery, Mansonville, Brome Co, Quebec; The death record indicates she was buried in the Mansonville Cemetery, but this author has yet to find a stone.¹
     She and Judson Daniel Blanchard appeared on the census of 1911 at Potton, Brome Co, Quebec; Judson Blanchard, 80, Matilda, 82, enumerated next to Oscar Bullis, 45, Grace, 27, and Hellen, 1.⁵
