Harris Hall Reid

Harris Hall Reid was born on 25 September 1873 at Albert Co, New Brunswick.1 He married Roberta Pauline Lane, daughter of Walter Lane and Isabella Daley, on 9 June 1897 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; VR, B4/1897, #2570, Film# F15584. Harris Hall Reid died on 8 January 1947 at Sussex, Kings Co, New Brunswick, at age 73.1 He was buried on 11 January 1947 at Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.
According to information collected by Marcia Dykeman-Donahue (as of 7/1/01), Harris was a deacon in the Germain Street Baptist Church in Saint John. He worked in insurance in Sussex in Kings County, NB, and had been a graduate of St Martin's Baptist Seminary. He was a grand master of Zion Lodge, F. and A.M., and 32nd degree Mason in the Scottish Rite, as well as a member of the Luxor Temple of Shriners. It is noted that he owned the "Maples Motel" in Sussex, Kings County. Marcia marked that she had received much of this information from Philip and Paul Reid.1
