Eliza McGaw was born circa 1879 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; A family member had indicated years ago that there was a child, Eliza, born about 1879. If this is true, she must have died before the 1881 census. She was the daughter of James Archibald McGaw and Rachel Howard Wood.
