Sarah Matilda Hazen was born on 6 May 1828 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick Hazen and Catherine Fadden. Sarah Matilda Hazen married Samuel Scott, son of William Scott and Prudence Covey, on 31 March 1847 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.² Sarah Matilda Hazen died on 15 February 1903 at Thayer, Oregon Co, Missouri, at age 74.¹ She was buried at Thayer Cemetery, Thayer, Oregon Co, Missouri.¹
