His children were listed as being born in Boston.4 On 12 September 1918, Walter Seth registered for the draft in Los Angeles. At that time he was a pipe fitter and was tall, with brown hair and eyes.5 He appeared on the census of 16 January 1920 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, California; Walter S Daley, 38, Loretta, 35, Stanley E., 15, Emily L., 13, William S., 83, his father, and George Maxwell, 22, his brother in law.6
