     Marion Belle Reid was born on 19 January 1899 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 She was the daughter of Harris Hall Reid and Roberta Pauline Lane. Marion Belle Reid married Walter Randall Marsh in 1941.2 Marion Belle Reid died on 21 May 1953 at Garden City, Nassau Co, New York, at age 54; From the New York Times: Garden City, L. headmistress since 1935 of the Protestant Episcopal
Cathedral School of St. Mary's here, died today in her home on the campus.
Mrs. Marsh was born in New Brunswick, Canada.
She received an A. B. degree from Acadia College and an
M. A. from Teachers College of Columbia University.
She taught Latin in Miss Hall's School in Pittsfield, Mass., the Rye Country Day School, New York, and Kingswood School, Crangrook, Mich., before coming to St. Mary's. She was married in 1941 to Walter R. Marsh, then headmaster of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral School of St.Paul's here. He died several years ago. Mrs. Marsh was president from 1951 to 1952 of the National
Association of Principals of Schools for Girls.
She leaves a brother, Fred Reid of Cambridge, Mass.2
