Philip Tabor

M, b. circa 1605, d. between 24 February 1671 and 27 April 1682
Relationship9th great-grandfather of Pamela Joyce Wood
Philip Tabor was born circa 1605 at England; There are several places often mentioned as his birthplace, but the Great Migration study shows that his origin is unknown.1 He married Lydia Masters, daughter of John Masters and Jane Cox, before 21 December 1639; Some researchers list this date as their marriage date, when in fact, that is the day Lydia's father wrote his will and died. Since she was named Lydia Tabor, they had to have married before that date.2 Philip Tabor died between 24 February 1671 and 27 April 1682 at Tiverton, Newport Co, Rhode Island; Philip would have died sometime after he was found on a tax list in 1671 and when provision was made for his widow in 1682.

And while many list his date of death as 1692 at Tiverton, this would be incorrect. He likely died soon after 1671, and Tiverton had yet to be settled. His widow remained in Providence for another decade, so he may have died there or elsewhere.2
