     Elspeth Russell Kirk was born on 25 June 1837 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of James Kirk and Charlotte Kerr. Elspeth Russell Kirk was baptized on 26 October 1837 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; St Andrew's Presbyterian Church. She married Dr. Amos Henry Chandler, son of Edward Baron Chandler, on 25 June 1859 at St Pancreas Church, London, Middlesex, England.1 Elspeth Russell Kirk died on 22 December 1870 at Moncton, Westmorland Co, New Brunswick, at age 33.2 She was buried at Dorchester Rural Cemetery, Dorchester, Westmorland Co, New Brunswick.2
